Not only did the faculty in the Department of Public Health Education kick off a new semester of preparing the next generation of public health leaders, they were also voted as one of the top 3 Bachelor’s in Community Health Education by Best Value Schools!
The concentration provides field experiences in public and private agencies as part of the professional preparation program. Students will learn from distinguished faculty who are engaged in research projects that add depth to their classroom teaching. Students engage in numerous practical experiences with community partners. Graduates are prepared to design and implement health promotion programs in the community. At the end of the program, students are eligible candidates for national credentialing as Certified Health Education Specialists.
