Congratulations to UNCG MPH graduate students Devyn Shaw, Brandon Mendenhall, and Jessica Pollard who represented UNCG well.  Mendenhall’s team took home the 1st place prize.  Well done all!

What is the MACHE Bowl?

The annual Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity (MACHE) Bowl featured three interdisciplinary teams constructed from graduate students from the various Universities who address complex health disparity issues from multiple disciplinary approaches. Students from Appalachian State University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Winston-Salem State University, Wake Forest University and the Wake Forest School of Medicine. The student teams interacted to solve the complex health care case before a live audience.  The case was prepared and judged by a panel of faculty from the 5 university programs.
