MPH Graduates get jobs

Congratulations Graduates

We are happy to announce that many of our MPH graduates in 2014 are finding exciting new positions in the field of health education. Below are some examples of what are graduates are doing:

Bridget Thomas, M.P.H.: Bridget has been offered a position as a Patient Navigator at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she will be assisting individuals living with HIV. This position involves patient contact through bridge counseling, working with providers and nurses, updating patient charts and records for ADAP (AIDS Drug Assistance Program), and community outreach.

Abi Hicks, M.P.H.: Abi has been offered a position as a CATCH coordinator in Halifax County, which is an evidence based program designed to promote physical activity and healthy eating. This position will oversee the direct implementation of the CATCH evidence-based program within 14 elementary schools and will manage efforts of the CATCH Champions and CATCH teams at each school.

Janie Burley, M.P.H.:  Janie has been offered a position as a Tobacco Settlement Fund Coordinator at Chattanoog-Hamilton County Health Department. Her roles and responsibilities involve the coordination of grants that are aimed at the three target areas identified by the State.
