Careers in Public Health Education Virtual Panel

The Department of Public Health Education in partnership with UNCG Career & Professional Development Center will be hosting a ‘Careers in Public Health Education’ virtual panel discussion on Friday, Oct. 15th, 1 – 3 pm.

Panelist include:

  • Wendy Renedo, BSN, RN
    Senior Transcultural Health Care Manager at Novant Health
  • Chinwe Onyeagusi, ’21 MPH, CHES
    Customer Success Fellow at Manifest MedEX Information Nonprofit
  • Alex Aspitia, ’17 CHE
    Director of Community Education at Mental Health Greensboro

Guest panelist will share their experience working at the intersection of diversity, inclusion, and healthcare. You can also expect to hear about some of their ‘firsts’ first internship, first job, and first pandemic!

The panel will be moderated by CHE senior, Brittany Friday with co-moderator, Professor Christina Yongue.

Governor Roy Cooper will share a video message to our Public Health Education students prior to the panel discussion.

The event will wrap up with a question and answer session with the panelist.

This ‘Careers in Public Health Education’ is open to all undergraduate and graduate students and you do not have to be a student in public health to attend (though you might leave wishing you were)!
