Public Health Education

The department that plays together stays together.

With its emphasis on community engagement, don’t be surprised to see faculty, staff, and students of the Department of Public Health Education taking it to the streets, bike paths, and jogging trails. Whether it’s a 5k, such the Bill Evans Mad Hatter Run, riding mountain bikes on any of the numerous greenway trails nearby, or participating in a BIG cycling event, the department enjoys the simple aspects of doing things together.

Dr. Tracy Nichols explains “We try to stay connected in mind, body and spirit. Our slogan is Promote, Engage, Change and we take every opportunity to live those words, whether it’s a family and friends picnic to start the year, multiple retreats with social events, or just meeting for coffee during our free time. I think that our comradery helps us do the great work that we do.”
