During my medical school training in India I was part of 3-day polio vaccine drive. When I saw all the behavioral aspects associated with getting vaccinated, I realized the importance of Public Health as a field. I learned that improving and providing better health at a grassroots level is extremely important.

There also needs to be guidelines and policies that will help to achieve this goal. Therefore, given my medical background, I decided to pursue my career in Public Health. I firmly believe this will help me better understand grassroots organizing. When I receive my MPH I hope to have the skills and tools needed to make improvements in global health.
