REGALIA:

Caps and gowns are required to participate in the departmental commencement. They are purchased through the UNCG bookstore for all programs. For more information, visit this link.

  • Does the graduation require an RSVP to attend?

An RSVP is NOT required for departmental graduation.

  • How do I obtain tickets to my graduation?

Tickets are NOT required for graduates nor guests to attend the departmental graduation.

  • Do I qualify to graduate?

To determine if you qualify to graduate, please contact the registrar or the graduate school.

  • How long is the ceremony?

The ceremony will last approximately one hour.

  • Is there a gathering following the ceremony

Yes, there will be a short gathering following the ceremony for photos with the family and faculty members.

  • Will there be a photographer?

Yes, there will be a photographer during the ceremony. Photos will be taken by “Photo Specialties.”

Photo Specialties will send free color proofs and ordering instructions to each graduate’s email and permanent mailing address. In order for Photo Specialties to do this, the graduate must fill out this info on a reader card they are provided on Graduation Day.

If graduates do not receive this link or need additional information about ordering photos, they should contact Photo Specialties at info@photospecialties.com or 919-967-9576. Photo packages are available for purchase beginning at $7 for a 5×7″ photograph.

  • Am I required to attend the ceremony?

No, graduates are not required to attend neither the departmental nor college graduation ceremonies.
