The professors at UNCG supported me throughout my program. Even though all of my class were distance courses, there was consistent communication and detailed support. I highly recommend the program.

essentialPublic health is the science of preventing disease, promoting health, and prolonging life within entire populations. Unlike clinicians who treat patients individually after they become sick, public health professionals work to identify the root causes of health problems, and then implement large-scale solutions to prevent injury or illness. The field of public health is vast with many opportunities to find your niche.

Our program provides students with a strong public health foundation and enhances their ability to promote health equity by teaching them to think critically about the root causes of health problems and analyze solutions using an intersectional perspective.
